About
Mr Allen has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for over 15 years specialising in hip and knee replacements and has done more than 4000 joint replacements including several hundred using the Mako robot.
His NHS practice is based at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. He did his higher surgical training based at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and did an adult Reconstruction Fellowship in Ottawa, Canada. He has an MSc with Distinction in Biomedical Engineering from Strathclyde University as well as his medical degree.
He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and is a regular reviewer for the Bone & Joint Journal.
