About
Mr David Bodansky is a specialist hand and wrist orthopaedic surgeon who is passionate about helping people get back to the activities that matter most—whether that’s everyday tasks, favourite hobbies, or returning to sport. He takes time to understand how each problem affects his patients and works with them to find the most effective treatment to restore hand and wrist function.
Every year, Mr Bodansky cares for more than 3,000 patients and carries out around 500 operations. However, most people he treats improve without surgery, thanks to tailored non-surgical options.
He trained in some of the world’s leading centres for hand and wrist surgery, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Wrightington Hospital, East Grinstead Hospital, and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. He also completed advanced fellowship training in both adult and children’s hand surgery in Liverpool, London, and North America.
Ranked first in Europe in the European Hand Diploma examination, Mr Bodansky has received more than 30 medical prizes. He has also represented the British Hand Society in Ethiopia, teaching local surgeons how to care for patients with complex hand injuries.
His dedication to patient care has been recognised with the ‘I Want Great Care’ Certificate of Excellence in 2023, 2024, and 2025
