About

Daud is a dual fellowship trained Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon currently working as a full-time consultant, at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. He specialises in hip and knee replacements as well as pelvic, acetabular and lower limb fracture surgery. In 2019 he was presented with the “You Made a Difference Award” at Addenbrookes Hospital for his dedication to patient care, improving patient pathways and supporting the multi-professional team.

After studying Medicine at University College London, he completed orthopaedic surgical training in London; where he gained experience at world-renowned hospitals. Daud attained fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training. Since then, he has completed nearly two years of advanced senior fellowship training in primary and revision hip and knee replacements at the Royal London Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia. In addition, he has undertaken a further year of advanced senior fellowship training in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction at Addenbrookes in Cambridge. His dual training provides him with unique expertise to perform complex and revision hip replacements and surgery for metastatic disease of the pelvis and lower limb.

Daud is a member of the Specialist Mako Assisted Robotic Team (SMART) based at the Nuffield Hospital in Cambridge. The state-of-the art Mako robotic technology allows surgeons to produce a personalised, patient-specific, 3-dimensional plan before the surgery.  During the operation, the robotic arm assists the surgeon to improve the accuracy and precision of the whole procedure.  Daud undertakes both total hip and total knee replacements using the Mako robotic arm system.
