About

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand and wrist surgery. I have over 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating problems affecting the upper limb.

I treat a wide range of conditions involving the hand, wrist and elbow, including:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome (pressure on a nerve in the wrist)
  • Cubital tunnel syndrome (pressure on a nerve at the elbow)
  • Dupuytren’s disease (thickening of tissue in the hand affecting finger movement)
  • Trigger finger (a finger that catches or locks when you move it)
  • De Quervain’s (painful tendon condition at the wrist)
  • Arthritis of the hand and wrist (joint wear and stiffness)
  • Tennis and golfer’s elbow
  • Ganglion cysts (fluid-filled lumps near joints or tendons)
  • Fractures of the hand, wrist and forearm
  • Tendon injuries and soft tissue problems
  • Nerve compression and nerve injuries

I offer both surgical and non‑surgical treatments. I use modern techniques where suitable. These include keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery and collagenase injections, which can help soften tight cords in the hand.

Training and experience

I qualified as an orthopaedic surgeon in Greece in 1998. I then completed further specialist training in the UK. This included training at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire and the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby.

I hold the European Diploma in Hand Surgery. I also completed a PhD focusing on wrist surgery.

I was appointed as a Consultant Hand Surgeon in 2001. I have led a specialist hand surgery service in Burton upon Trent.

I focus entirely on hand and wrist conditions. This allows me to provide highly specialised care. I believe in clear communication and will work with you to choose the best treatment. I aim to achieve the best possible outcome for you.
