About
Mr Baker is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician specialising in many aspects of women's health including heavy and painful periods, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, prolapse, infertility, fibroids, menopause and more.
He trained at University College London where he obtained a distinction in clinical practice and did his postgraduate training in the care of women with gynaecological cancers and high-risk maternity care in Southampton, Poole, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Portsmouth.
Mr Baker is friendly and approachable and likes to build a relationship of trust and find a common goal in order to recommend treatment and investigations for his patients.
While Mr Baker is a skilled laparoscopic (keyhole) abdominal and vaginal surgeon, he does not push a surgical solution where a more conservative approach is desired by his patients and always works to find a mutually agreeable solution to clinical problems.
