About
Mr Calum Honeyman is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Head & Neck Surgeon at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. His NHS practice covers Head and Neck reconstruction, complex skin cancer surgery, limb reconstruction and general Plastic Surgery, alongside emergency trauma and burn care.
Mr Honeyman is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatment with a patient centred approach. He achieves this through clear communication and attention to detail, working in partnership with patients to ensure they are fully informed and supported throughout their surgical journey.
Mr Honeyman completed his medical degrees at the Universities of St Andrews and Manchester, graduating in 2012. Following early surgical training in and around Bristol, he undertook six years of specialist Plastic Surgery training in Scotland, developing particular expertise in Head and Neck reconstruction and microsurgery. He has been on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery since 2023, following successful completion of the Plastic Surgery FRCS(Plast) examination in 2022.
Mr Honeyman’s commitment to academic and clinical excellence led him to undertake a dedicated year in research at the University of Oxford, studying tissue transplantation. He also spent time in Helsinki, where he learned advanced techniques in Head and Neck reconstruction. Finally, just before becoming a substantive consultant, he completed the prestigious year-long Training Interface Fellowship at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, where he received trained from Plastic, ENT, and Maxillofacial surgeons, and gained a unique experience in the holistic care of patients with Head and Neck cancer.
In addition to his reconstructive practice, Mr Honeyman offers a range of cosmetic procedures in the private sector, with particular interest in facial aesthetics, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), and body contouring. His experience in Head and Neck surgery, including an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, allows him to focus on a carefully selected range of cosmetic procedures, where precision and detail are paramount.
Mr Honeyman is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
