About
Mr Babu is a Consultant Urologist with an extensive private practice at Nuffield Health York Hospital. Mr Babu also works as a Consultant Urologist in York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals. He qualified from Bart's & The London Medical School and completed his training in Yorkshire. He is the Lead Clinician for acute urology across the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Throughout his career he has gained extensive experience, with a particular interest in the treatment of kidney stones and kidney cancer, through keyhole and robotic procedures. He is also proficient in minimally invasive prostate surgery in the form of Urolift. He maintains a healthy practice in general urology and provides investigations and treatments for conditions such as, blood in the urine, bladder/prostate/kidney/testis/penile cancer, male urinary problems, recurrent urinary tract infections as well as foreskin/scrotal problems.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Babu is involved in research/audit projects, producing numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and presenting at regional and international meetings.
He is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care by delivering a personalised approach with clear and concise lines of communication. He is committed to helping patients achieve the best outcomes and enjoys seeing the positive impact on their lives.
Away from work, he lives in Heworth and enjoys spending time with his wife Sara and two young children.
