About

Mr Mohan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery with a particular interest in upper limb surgery.

He provides expert assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, offering both operative and non-operative treatments, including joint injections. He uses the latest diagnostic techniques to support accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment planning.

His practice covers the full spectrum of hand and wrist pathology, including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren's contracture, triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injuries, wrist instability, and arthritis affecting the hand and wrist joints.

Mr Mohan has extensive experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for a range of shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, frozen shoulder, subacromial impingement and acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) arthritis. He also performs arthroscopic and open procedures for selected elbow, hand and wrist conditions.

He has a specialist interest in joint preservation, resurfacing procedures and total joint replacement surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. In addition, he specialises in the management of upper limb trauma, utilising advanced fracture fixation techniques and anatomically specific plating systems to optimise functional outcomes and recovery.

Education

Mr Mohan completed his orthopaedic training on the South West Thames Orthopaedic Rotation before undertaking two prestigious upper limb fellowships in the UK.

These included a Hand and Wrist Fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and an Upper Limb Fellowship at Wrightington Hospital.

His fellowship training provided advanced experience in all aspects of shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist surgery, including complex upper limb reconstruction and arthroscopic surgery.
