About
Mr Arman Memarzadeh is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals, specialising in knee surgery.
He completed his higher surgical training on the Cambridge rotation before undertaking advanced fellowship training at leading UK centres, including the Fortius Clinic in London, Oxford University Hospitals, and Leeds Teaching Hospitals. During this period, he gained extensive experience in the treatment of sports injuries in elite athletes, cartilage regeneration techniques, kinematic-aligned knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and complex revision (re-do) knee surgery.
Mr Memarzadeh was awarded a prestigious British Orthopaedic Association Travelling Fellowship, which enabled him to visit internationally renowned centres in Chicago and Philadelphia, including the Rothman Institute, further broadening his expertise in advanced knee surgery.
His specialist clinical interests include sports knee injuries and knee arthroplasty, with a strong focus on personalised knee surgery to optimise outcomes and recovery for each individual patient.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Memarzadeh is passionate about education and training. He regularly teaches and mentors other surgeons, serving as faculty on multiple national and international surgical courses, where he trains surgeons in cutting-edge techniques in knee surgery.
Mr Memarzadeh has received several awards in recognition of his clinical, academic, and educational contributions, including the Trinity Cup for the most accomplished trainee, Cambridge Trainee of the Year, and research grants from Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
