Mr Anwar Jafri

Mr Jafri is a highly regarded Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in the treatment of painful hip and knee conditions, from arthritis and sports injuries to complex joint problems. His popularity is reflected in his excellent Doctify rating with patients praising his exceptional care, gentle approach and clear communication.

Training and background

Locally trained after graduating from Newcastle University Medical School, Mr Jafri completed his basic and higher surgical training in the North East of England. He went on to undertake a prestigious Arthroplasty and Trauma Fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand, gaining advanced experience in hip and knee reconstruction.
He was appointed as a Consultant at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in 2011 and also serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University.
