About
Mr Andrew Cole is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder conditions. He runs a dedicated shoulder practice, offering a full range of treatments, from assessment through to advanced surgical care.
His clinic provides access to modern diagnostic and surgical techniques, including shoulder arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), minimally invasive procedures, joint replacement surgery and fracture treatment.
Mr Cole trained in general surgery in Bristol and gained his FRCS qualification in London in 1994. He then specialised in orthopaedic surgery through the Oxford regional training programme, achieving his FRCS (Trauma and Orthopaedics) in 1999. He completed his specialist training in 2001.
During his training, he undertook advanced fellowships in shoulder surgery in Oxford, as well as orthopaedic trauma and post-trauma reconstruction at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada. This international experience has helped develop his expertise in both routine and complex shoulder conditions.

Mr Cole has published several papers on disorders of the shoulder and elbow and orthopaedic trauma and has been invited to write book chapters for the forthcoming Oxford Textbook of Orthopaedics and Trauma and the new edition of Medicolegal Reporting in Orthopaedic Trauma.
