About
Mr Amit Patel is an experienced and fully accredited gynaecologist and gynaecological oncologist (cancer specialist), trained under The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) curriculum and registered under GMC specialist register. He is also an accredited colposcopist through The British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
After qualifying as a doctor (MBBS) in 1998, Mr Patel gained a higher academic degree (MD) in 2001. He completed his specialist training approved by the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2008, gaining several advanced qualifications in laparoscopic surgery, colposcopy, vulval disease and hysteroscopy. He achieved higher sub-specialty training in Gynaecological Cancers in 2013.
Mr Patel also holds several research and academic accomplishments. In 2012, he was awarded a Masters degree in Clinical Research with distinction. In the same year, he also won the Edgar Gentilli Prize awarded by Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) for the best research in gynaecological cancer. He has published several research papers in acclaimed medical journals.
Mr. Patel offers care to women on a wide range of gynaecological conditions, with the exception of pelvic floor prolapse, paediatric gynaecology and fertility problems.
