After completing medical graduation and initial training in India, Mr Mevcha moved to the UK. He developed his interest in Urology during the early years of his surgical career. Mr Mevcha completed Urology training in West Midlands and Robotic Pelvic Cancer Surgery Fellowship in Bristol before joining as a Consultant Urologist at University Hospitals Dorset in 2019.
Mr Mevcha is a general urologist with a special interest in prostate and bladder cancer diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment. He performs Robotic Prostatectomies, Robotic and/or Open cystectomies and urinary diversion procedures.
Mr Mevcha can also diagnose and manage wide varieties of general urological conditions such benign prostate/urinary flow problem, haematuria (blood in urine) and urological infections. Mr Mevcha believes in patient centred and individually tailored approaches for care instead of a view that ‘one size fits all’ approach.
