About
Mr Mitchell-Innes is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeon based in Taunton, Somerset. He is fully qualified to deal with all areas of ENT, and has developed a special interest in ear problems, hearing loss, tinnitus, balance, Eustachian tube dysfunction, sinus surgery and coblation tonsillectomy.
He studied medicine at Oxford University and completed his specialist ENT training in the West Midlands. During this time he won the Royal Society of Medicine temporal bone competition. He was further awarded the prestigious RSM Travelling Fellowship in skull base and advanced otology in Melbourne.

Nose disorders: Blocked nose, allergy, sinusitis, endoscopic sinus
surgery, septal surgery
Ears: Tinnitus, hearing and balance, surgery for hearing loss,
discharging or itchy ears, Eustachian tube problems, cholesteatoma management,
eardrum repair
Personal interests
He enjoys spending
his spare time with his family, as well as being a keen tennis player and
cyclist.

Research
Mr Mitchell-Innes has published many academic papers across ENT and in particular has published on new techniques in ear surgery, with over 30 peer reviewed articles as well as textbook chapters. He has presented his work at conferences nationally and internationally, won multiple prizes and been invited to speak at national conferences.
He is actively involved with the support and training of postgraduate doctors and is educational supervisor to those rotating through ENT.
