About

I was appointed Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) in February 2022. Before joining CUH, I trained in Cambridge, Oxford, London and Liverpool.

After completing Foundation Training in Liverpool, I trained in Core, General and Vascular Surgery on London, Oxford, and Cambridge rotations. Further, I completed a national fellowship in advanced lower limb revascularisation (VaLSA). My training was complemented by honorary fellowships at St Bartholomew’s and Royal Papworth Hospitals in complex open and endovascular thoracoabdominal aortic surgery.

During my training, I obtained PhD in Vascular Biology from University College London (UCL) in 2018. I received multiple awards, including Bogue Research Fellowship to visit Dardik’s laboratory at Yale University, USA. In addition, I was awarded MSc in Advanced Surgical Practice by Cardiff University (CUMS) in 2012.

I was selected as an exceptionally talented student and admitted to the National Organisation for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) during my early years of education in Iran before I underwent undergraduate medical training at Tehran University (TUMS). I obtained my Primary Medical Qualification in 2006.
