About
Mr James is a Consultant in Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgery. He was appointed at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in 2010.
He trained in medicine at Oxford University and Kings College London and undertook higher surgical training in the South East of England. He has been the Clinical Lead for Trauma, Clinical Lead for General Surgery and is currently the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy.
He performs laparoscopic and robotic procedures for gallstone disease, simple and complex hernias, acid reflux due to hiatus hernia and oesophageal motility disorders. He also performs therapeutic endoscopy including ERCP. His private practice mirrors his NHS specialty work.
