About
Miss Sophie Wienand Barnett is a consultant gynaecologist and subspecialist urogynaecologist, dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care for women with a wide range of gynaecological and pelvic floor conditions.
With advanced accredited subspecialist training in urogynaecology she offers evidence-based management of prolapse, incontinence, pelvic floor disorders, as well as general gynaecological concerns such as menopause care and disorders of the vulva.
Miss Wienand Barnett trained in general gynaecology in the South West of England and then completed subspecialist training in urogynaecology in both Scotland and Plymouth.
She is the clinical lead for urogynaecology at the RDUH. During her career she has led projects at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and NHS England championing the care of women and children.
She is committed to a holistic patient-centred approach, ensuring that each woman receives tailored advice and treatment options that best suit her needs and lifestyle.
She values the importance of non-surgical options where appropriate and works closely with physiotherapists, urology and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the highest standard of care.
