About

I provide a wide range of gynaecological care, with a strong focus on preventing health problems and catching them early.

I have particular expertise in managing issues such as heavy or irregular periods, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS – formerly polycystic ovarian syndrome PCOS), premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), postmenopausal bleeding, prolapse, and conditions affecting the vulva and vagina.

I am experienced in procedures such as hysteroscopy and both laparoscopic and vaginal surgery. This includes treating ovarian cysts, performing female sterilisation, tubal surgery, and pelvic floor repair.

I offer a one-stop clinic service, where I can carry out a transvaginal ultrasound and often provide a full assessment and initial treatment plan during the same visit. If needed, this may include a detailed consultation, pelvic examination, ultrasound, cervical smear, vaginal swabs and blood tests.

I recommend regular gynaecological check-ups as an important part of maintaining vaginal and reproductive health. While I encourage patients to have a GP referral, as it provides helpful background information, I also accept self-referrals. I see patients at Nuffield Health Exeter on Wednesdays and can offer urgent appointments when necessary.

Education

I completed my specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the South West of England, and in 2016 I became an NHS Consultant at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.

I take a caring, sensitive and personalised approach to my work. I make sure each patient receives treatment tailored to their individual needs. I take the time to understand concerns and help patients make informed decisions about their care, whether they are dealing with routine issues or more complex conditions.
