About

Miss Khan-Lim is an experienced Ophthalmologist with expertise in eyelid conditions. She graduated from Imperial College London, completed higher surgical training at Southampton and subsequently undertook the prestigious Oculoplastic fellowship at the world-renowned Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London. She was appointed to a consultant post at Southampton Eye Unit in 2009 and has multiple Clinical Excellence awards in recognition of her outstanding clinical care and dedicated leadership. 

She is a regional expert recognised nationally from both her facial spasms clinic and as a member of the Wessex Facial Nerve Centre for facial palsy treatments. She is a member of the local skin cancer clinical experts team working with dermatologists and facial surgeons to treat skin cancer. As an advanced injectable therapy practitioner she treats both cosmetic and non-cosmetic indications. 

She has an international reputation for education. She leads training at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and has led Undergraduate education for the University of Southampton. She has a prize-winning PhD for research into dry eye conditions and is an expert in blepharitis dry and watery eye treatment.

Research

Miss Khan-Lim has been awarded a PhD for research into the molecular biology of dry eye conditions to help improve patient treatments. This work received a prestigious American Academy of Ophthalmology prize and competitive grants from the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and National Eye Research Centre. 

She has held the post of subspecialty Section Editor for Eye Journal for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists for nearly a decade. 

She supervises Bachelor of Medical Science student research for the University of Southampton.
