Miss Cheadle obtained her medical degree at The University of Leeds in 2009 and continued post graduate training in Yorkshire.
Her basic training was in the Leeds area, then basic surgical and higher Specialist Orthopaedic Training was completed in the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery.
The last 2 years of training were focused on the hand and wrist.
Miss Cheadle then completed her fellowship at the Pulvertaft hand unit in Derby. This world-renowned centre for hand surgery helped her hone skills in preparation for consultancy.
She holds a substantive Consultant position at Airedale Hospital.
Her training has enabled her to become an expert in trauma and elective surgery of the hand and wrist, delivering a comprehensive service within this area.
Areas of interest include Dupuytren’s surgery, scaphoid non-union, ligament reconstruction, basal thumb arthritis including trapeziectomy and joint replacement, wrist arthroscopy, small joint arthritis including fusion and joint replacement plus complex bony work for primary and post traumatic degeneration within the hand and wrist.
She has published book chapters, scientific articles and has presented at national and international meetings.
Miss Cheadle is a keen runner, swimming and cyclist having completed long distance events of all three, as well as long distance triathlons.
