About
Dr Kolimarala is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist with more than 14 years experience of working with children. He provides specialist review, management and tests for children with gut-related problems, including abdominal pain,vomiting, constipation,diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, and weight loss.
After completing specialist grid training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition from King’s College Hospital and Southampton Children’s Hospital, he started as a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
He actively participates in research studies, presented at national and international meetings, and published in multiple journals. His ongoing projects include looking at outcomes of children with suspected cow’s milk protein allergy and food allergies, gut-related problems in children with ADHD and Autism, and effects of children with abdominal pain.
Dr Kolimarala is passionate about teaching and training and has been an Honorary associate professor in paediatrics at the American University of the Caribbean and senior lecturer in paediatrics at St. George’s university. He continues to supervise medical students, GP and paediatric trainee doctors.
