About
Dr Kolimarala is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist with over 14 years' experience in the diagnosis and management of paediatric gastrointestinal disorders. He provides specialist assessment and treatment for children with abdominal pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, food allergies, cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA), feeding difficulties, and faltering growth.
Having completed specialist Grid Training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at King's College Hospital and Southampton Children's Hospital, he was appointed Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Dr Kolimarala is actively involved in clinical research and has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings. His research interests include food allergy, cow's milk protein allergy, functional gastrointestinal disorders, chronic abdominal pain, and gastrointestinal symptoms in children with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Kolimarala is committed to medical education and has held academic appointments as an Honorary Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Paediatrics. He continues to teach and supervise medical students, GP trainees and paediatric specialty trainees.
