About

Dr Usman Javaid is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist specialising in the diagnosis and management of hormonal, metabolic, and weight-related conditions.

He provides high-quality, personalised care, combining the latest medical evidence with a compassionate, patient-centred approach.

He has particular expertise in diabetes technology, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), helping patients achieve improved glucose control and quality of life. He manages both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including complex and difficult-to-control cases.

Education and teaching

Dr Javaid trained in the North East of England and has worked as an NHS Consultant since 2020. He is actively involved in medical education, mentoring, and service development, and regularly publishes and presents in endocrine and metabolic medicine.
