Dr Tonye Wokoma

Dr Tonye Wokoma is a highly experienced doctor who specialises in menopause care, sexual and reproductive health, and gynaecology. She has been recognised as a menopause specialist by the British Menopause Society for almost 10 years and is passionate about helping women feel informed, supported, and confident about their health. Dr Wokoma does not perform surgery at Nuffield Health York but she is able to refer her patients on to the surgical specialists here at Nuffield Health York if required for the onward patient pathway.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has completed advanced specialist training in menopause care. Dr Tonye also helps train other healthcare professionals across the UK, playing a key role in improving menopause education and standards of care nationally. Dr Tonye is a strong advocate for women’s health and regularly gives talks and teaching sessions on menopause and contraception. She has also contributed medical expertise to articles, presentations, and the best selling book Cracking the Menopause by Mariella Frostrup and Alice Smellie.
