About
I worked for many years as a full‑time Consultant Physician in Clinical Neurophysiology at Queen’s Medical Centre, University Hospital Nottingham. During this time, I was also appointed Associate Professor in the Division of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Nottingham.
In April 2022, I transitioned to full‑time private practice, continuing to offer specialist neurophysiology services for both adult and paediatric patients.
Clinical Specialties
I specialise in the investigation and interpretation of a wide range of neurophysiological studies, including:
- Electromyography (EMG) – adults and children
- Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) – simple and complex cases
- Single Fibre EMG (SFEMG)
- Electroencephalography (EEG) reporting:
- Standard EEG
- Ambulatory EEG
- Video‑telemetry EEG
I also have extensive experience in intra‑operative neurophysiological monitoring, particularly during:
- Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) procedures
- Spinal surgeries
Training and Qualifications
I completed my specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology in the West Midlands, rotating through several major University Hospitals, including:
- University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke‑on‑Trent
- Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham
- Birmingham City Hospital
- Birmingham Children’s Hospital
- New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton
- Coventry & Warwick University Hospital, Coventry
Before this, I completed full training in General Internal Medicine in Jordan at Jordan University Hospital, Amman, where I was awarded:
- Master’s Degree in Internal Medicine
- Jordanian Board in Internal Medicine
I subsequently undertook three years of Neurology training in the UK, before progressing into higher specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology.
