About
Dr Adams has been a consultant dermatologist since 1984. She qualified at Leeds University Medical School in 1975 and trained in Dermatology in Leeds and London. She was elected Fellow of the International Society for the Study of vulvovaginal diseases in 1986 and is a founder member of the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease. She has held consultant posts in the Northern Regional Health Administration, (8 years), Torbay Hospital (17 years) and Musgrove Park Hospital (5 years).
Her interests are in general inflammatory dermatology, skin cancer and her sub-speciality interest is in the diagnosis and management of complex vulval dermatoses. She has been skin cancer leads in both Torbay and Musgrove Park Hospital multidisciplinary teams.
Personal interests
Dr Adams is an active member of the Civic twinning groups between Taunton and Lisieux, and Taunton and Königslutter. She is a keen skier and gardener.
