About
Dr Ellery has developed a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to care, drawing upon the pharmacological, electrical and emotional support that is crucial to all patients, but in particular heart failure patients, which she believes she can offer to the highest standard.
She works closely with specialist teams with respect to pharmacological management and device optimisation of heart failure patients and has a particular interest in the implantation and optimization of pacemakers, especially biventricular and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator devices.
Dr Ellery has gained extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology, and is accredited as a General Medical Physician.
Her theoretical knowledge and clinical experience is maintained to a high standard through continuing professional development as a result of attendance at regional, national and international meetings, as a delegate and faculty member.
Other interests
Heart failure and pacing therapy, particularly biventricular pacing and Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

Research
During Dr Ellery's Specialist Training, she embarked on a 2 year British Heart Foundation funded research Project, as a BHF Scholar. During this time, in addition to familiarising herself with the expanding evidence in the field of Biventricular Pacing and Heart Failure, she developed her clinical skills in these areas.
Dr Ellery continued to have an active interest and involvement in both device and pharmacological research at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, and is currently registered with the University of Brighton and Sussex for her MD thesis.
