About
I am a Consultant Rheumatologist specialising in inflammatory arthritis and connective tissue diseases. These include conditions affecting the joints or the immune system.
I have experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of complex conditions. I focus on early detection and create treatment plans that are tailored to you. My goal is to help you manage your condition and improve your quality of life.
I work in both the UK and India. In the UK, I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust since 2018. I also see private patients at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital.
Before becoming a consultant, I completed specialist training at several NHS hospitals, including Leeds, Bradford, and Dewsbury. I also conducted research on modern treatments called biologic therapies that help control inflammation.
I am trained in advanced tests to help diagnose your condition. These include joint ultrasound, which allows me to examine your joints closely and guide injections if needed. I also use capillaroscopy to examine small blood vessels, especially in connective tissue diseases.
I am involved in teaching and training healthcare professionals. I also work with international research groups to improve treatment for arthritis and related conditions.
