Dr Simon Hammans is an experienced Neurologist at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester and the Wessex Neurological Centre, Southampton General Hospital. He has a private practice at Nuffield Health, Chichester Hospital.
Dr Hammans trained at the University of Cambridge, St Thomas’s Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
The comprehensive range of services provided by Dr Hammans includes outpatient general neurology as well as inpatient services. His practice includes common problems such as headaches, dizziness, seizures, Parkinson’s disease, tremor, neuralgia and gait disorders. Dr Hammans completed a research thesis with Professor Anita Harding at the Institute of Neurology concerning the Genetics of Muscle Disorders. He was awarded the Noble prize for his research.
He has published more than forty peer reviewed research papers and has co-authored a book on Neurogenetics.
