Dr Sian Ludman is a Paediatric Allergy Consultant in Devon. She was a national allergy GRID trainee in London, training at some of the largest paediatric allergy centres in Europe, including St Mary's Hospital and St Thomas' Hospital.
She completed her medical degree at the University of Wales, College of Medicine, before moving to London for specialist training in paediatrics. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Allergy at Imperial College London, graduating with Distinction, and is one of the few allergy specialists in the UK to hold the European Diploma of Allergology.
She has worked on joint research projects with Dr Philippe Eigenmann in Switzerland and Dr George Du Toit in London. Her work has been published in several international medical journals, covering topics such as food protein–induced enterocolitis (FPIES), cow’s milk allergy, oral allergy syndrome in children, venom immunotherapy, and the use of oral food challenges.
She treats all aspects of paediatric allergy, including food allergies, eczema, hives (urticaria), asthma, hay fever, rhinitis, and drug allergies. Her approach focuses on understanding and managing the full spectrum of allergic conditions in children.
