About
Dr Al-Mudhaffer graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland. He completed his training in Rheumatology in the North West of England. He has been working as a Consultant Rheumatologist in South Wales since 2014. He joined Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in May 2024.
Dr Al-Mudhaffer has experience in all aspects of rheumatology including inflammatory arthritis (such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis), osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases, polymyalgia rheumatica, back pain, shoulder pain and soft tissue rheumatic conditions.
He has a particular clinical interest in osteoporosis. He reviews complex patients with osteoporosis in his osteoporosis clinic in University Hospital of Wales. He also performs joint and soft tissue injections

Osteoporosis and areas focused on specific types of diseases like autoimmune diseases, inflammatory joint diseases and degenerative joint diseases
