About
Dr Rishi Chandel completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology in the East of England region in 2016, following which he took up a consultant post in Hertfordshire. After working there for nearly a decade as a consultant gastroenterologist in both the NHS and private sector, Dr Chandel relocated to Dorset in 2026. His current NHS post is based at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
Although his clinical practice involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of digestive disorders, he has a particular interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, and Polypectomy. He is an accredited Bowel Cancer Screener. He also has extensive experience in managing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis).
