Dr Madrigal is a highly experienced Consultant Allergist and Clinical Immunologist with over 15 years of expertise in the diagnosis and management of allergic diseases and severe asthma. He practices within the Allergy and Severe Asthma Service at St Bartholomew’s Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust), the largest NHS trust in the UK.
Dr Madrigal is one of a select number of clinicians listed on the GMC Specialist Register for Allergy, reflecting advanced subspecialist expertise. He is internationally recognised for his work in drug hypersensitivity reactions (DHRs), including both IgE-mediated (immediate) and delayed immune-mediated reactions.

Dr Madrigal specialises in the full spectrum of allergic and immunological disorders, including:
- Allergic rhinitis (e.g. pollen, house dust mite, animal dander allergies)
- Food allergy and drug allergy, including complex diagnostic assessment
- Anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions), including adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen) training
- Chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives) and angioedema, including biologic therapies
- Bee and wasp venom allergy (venom immunotherapy)
- Atopic (allergic) asthma, including identification of inhalant triggers
- Latex allergy
- Atopic eczema and contact dermatitis
He has particular expertise in risk stratification, diagnosis, and safe management of drug allergies, including antibiotics, NSAIDs, and perioperative medications.

Dr Madrigal offers comprehensive, evidence-based allergy testing and treatment, including:
- Skin prick testing and intradermal testing
- Specific IgE blood testing and molecular (component-resolved) diagnostics
- Day-case drug and food challenge testing
