About
I am a Consultant Clinical Oncologist based in Derby. I have over 30 years of medical experience. I specialise in treating cancer using non‑surgical treatments, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
I provide private care at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and Derby Private Health. I also work in the NHS at Royal Derby Hospital.
My aim is to provide safe, effective and personalised care. I use modern treatments to target cancer while reducing side effects where possible.
I qualified in medicine from the University of Madras in 1993. I then moved to the UK to complete my specialist training in oncology across the South East of England.
After my formal training, I completed advanced training at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. This is one of the leading cancer centres in the UK.
I was later appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Royal Derby Hospital.

- Brain tumours
- Skin cancer and melanoma

- Gastrointestinal cancers (affecting the digestive system)
- Head and neck cancers

I have experience managing complex and advanced cancer cases.
Specialist treatments
I use advanced and precise cancer treatments, including:
- Radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT and image‑guided radiotherapy (targeted treatments that protect healthy tissue)
- 3D and 4D radiotherapy, which adjust for movement during treatment
- Chemotherapy (drug treatment to kill cancer cells)
- Targeted therapy (drugs that focus on specific cancer cells)
- Immunotherapy (treatments that help your immune system fight cancer)
