About

I am a Consultant Rheumatologist, having completed my higher specialist training at the North West Deanery in 2006. I have a specialist interest in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory and non-inflammatory musculoskeletal disorders, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, crystal arthropathies, and degenerative joint conditions. I am experienced in the use of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic therapies, and corticosteroid treatments, with a strong focus on evidence-based care and long-term disease management. I have additional expertise in performing diagnostic and therapeutic musculoskeletal ultrasound, enabling detailed assessment of synovitis, enthesitis, and joint pathology, as well as guiding joint aspiration and injection procedures.
