About
Dr Noor Bekkali is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with specialist expertise in pancreatobiliary disease and advanced endoscopy.
After earning her PhD and medical degree from the University of Amsterdam (AMC), she completed fellowships at UCLH London and the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
She has over a decade of experience in diagnostic and interventional EUS, including tissue sampling for pancreatic cancer, GIST, NETs and lymphoma. She also performs therapeutic EUS procedures such as coeliac plexus neurolysis, biliary drainage, necrosectomy in severe pancreatitis and gastrojejunostomies.
Dr Bekkali routinely carries out ERCP for malignant conditions like pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma, as well as benign diseases such as chronic pancreatitis.
She is experienced in cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy and has published extensively in these areas. An active researcher and educator, she participates in national and international clinical trials and teaches on EUS and ERCP courses worldwide. She also serves on several professional pancreas-related committees.
Dr Noor welcomes referrals for complex hepatopancreatobiliary cases and advanced endoscopic procedures as well as general gastroenterology conditions such as right upper quadrant pains, IBS and constipation.
