Dr Mark Baxter

Mr Mark Baxter graduated from the University of Dundee School of Medicine in 1998. He completed his senior house officer training in Portsmouth between 1999 and 2003, followed by higher medical training in general and geriatric medicine within the Wessex region from 2004 to 2009.

Mr Baxter has worked for the Trust since March 2009. He is highly experienced in the management of frail older adults with multiple and often complex medical conditions. His clinical expertise also includes the assessment and management of falls and bone health, areas in which he has developed substantial practical and diagnostic proficiency.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Baxter has contributed to research in geriatric medicine. He has published a review on the management of postural hypotension and has both presented internationally and published research on the use of spirometry and inhaler techniques in people with cognitive impairment.
