About
Dr Madhavi Vellayan graduated from University of Madras, India in 1992. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in various renowned centres in Yorkshire and underwent specialisation in Gynaecological Endoscopy in Jessop Hospital for Women, Sheffield. Dr Vellayan has a wide range of experience and interest in women's health issues ranging from gynaecological issues affecting children to period problems, subfertility, pelvic pain,ovarian cysts, prolapse, urinary incontinence and menopausal symptoms.
Dr Vellayan is happy to see insured and self pay patients. Self pay patients should ideally bring letter of referral from GP. She would however be happy to see patient without referral letter if the need is urgent.

Dr Vellayan's special interests are: Menstrual disorders, Perimenopausal irregular bleeding, Postmenopausal bleeding,subfertility, Premenstrual syndrome, Pelvic pain, Endometriosis, Paediatric gynaecology, Ovarian Cysts, Vulval skin disorders and Vaginal discharge.
