About
Dr Gillies is a GP with further specialist training in women’s health, particularly menopause care.
She qualified from Edinburgh Medical School in 2006. She initially trained in Respiratory Medicine and gained membership of the Royal College of Physicians. She changed to General Practice and completed her GP training in Oxford.
Dr Gillies moved to Devon in 2018 where she has worked as an NHS GP and developed her experience in women’s health. In 2023, she completed the Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care from the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health and is recognised as a BMS Menopause Specialist.
Dr Gillies works for St Erme Medical both in the Nuffield Hospital Exeter and remotely. She is a GP in East Devon and works within the Devon Menopause Service.
She is passionate about women's
health education for both healthcare professions and patients. She
teaches nationally on the Menopause Special Skills Course for experienced
healthcare professionals. She most recently chaired the Nuffield Health South
West women's health conference in June 2025, bringing together GPs from across
Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.

Outside of work Dr Gillies enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking and being on the beach.
