Dr Kate Jones qualiﬁed from Birmingham University in 2002. After completing her initial medical and surgical training, she joined the Shropshire vocational training scheme for general practice. She worked in A&E, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, psychiatry, dermatology and palliative care, as well as her registrar jobs in local GP surgeries. During her training she and her husband fell in love with Shropshire and decided to settle here to raise their family.
She currently works at Pontesbury Medical Practice. She previously worked as a partner at Bridgnorth Medical Practice where she also worked in the community hospital and minor injuries unit.
Since qualifying as a GP she has developed interests in contraception and diabetes working in the local family planning service and as a GP in the diabetic clinic at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. She has a depth and breadth of experience in providing all aspects of General practice and strives to oﬀer holistic family medicine to high standards.
Consultation and minor procedures in the out-patients department.
