Dr Jason Ramtahal

Dr Ramtahal is an experienced Consultant Neurologist specialising in the assessment and management of a range of neurological symptoms and conditions affecting the brain, nerves and muscles.

His specialist interests include the assessment of headaches and migraines, facial pain, persistent or unexplained nerve pain, movement and coordination problems, sensory symptoms and changes, dizziness and vertigo, as well as symptoms affecting memory, concentration, speech and language.

Dr Ramtahal assesses and treats conditions including tremor, balance and walking difficulties, muscle weakness or loss of control, stiffness and muscle spasms, numbness and altered sensation, visual disturbances, changes in smell or taste, and difficulties with memory, concentration or finding words.

He is committed to providing clear, compassionate, patient-centred care, helping patients understand their symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options while using up-to-date, evidence-based approaches.

Dr Ramtahal completed his specialist neurology training at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He has held a number of academic and clinical leadership roles, including Clinical Lecturer in Neurology at the University of Liverpool, Consultant Neurologist in Devon, and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Exeter Medical School.

Please note: Dr Ramtahal does not assess or manage patients with chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, or memory problems where brain imaging has already been completed or where the patient has previously been assessed by a memory service.
