About
I am a Consultant Haematologist specialising in blood and bone marrow conditions. I diagnose and treat a wide range of disorders, including both cancerous and non‑cancerous conditions.
I provide private care at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital. I also work in the NHS at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
My aim is to provide clear, personalised care and support you throughout your treatment.
I qualified in medicine in 1990. I then completed specialist training in haematology and pathology in London at King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital.
I also hold a Master’s degree in Medical Leadership. Alongside my clinical work, I have held senior leadership roles within the NHS.
I have served as a Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Pathologists and as a Trustee for the British Society for Haematology.

I diagnose and treat a wide range of blood conditions, including:
- Blood cancers, such as myeloma, leukaemia and lymphoma
- Blood clotting disorders (thrombosis)
- Anaemia (low red blood cells)
- Bone marrow disorders

I provide care for both simple and complex cases.

Development of an electronic model of risk assessment and computer assisted reminder system for the prevention of Hospital Acquired Thrombosis (blood clots).
Principal Investigator for Burton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for Haematology trials.
I have led services recognised for excellence by Myeloma UK. In 2009, I received a national award for improving patient safety through my work in preventing blood clots.I have also created patient information videos to help people better understand common blood conditions.
