About
Dr Gaurav Agarwal FRCP is a highly experienced Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology, General Internal Medicine and Acute Medicine, with more than 23 years of clinical experience.
A gold medal-winning medical graduate, Dr Agarwal completed specialist training across leading hospitals including Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College Hospital. He has worked as a Consultant Physician since 2010 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2016. He also holds a Diploma with Distinction in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary University of London.
Dr Agarwal provides face-to-face and virtual consultations for patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary conditions, sex hormone disorders, weight-related health concerns and general medical conditions. He is passionate about preventative healthcare and supports patients through personalised treatment plans and lifestyle interventions designed to improve long-term health outcomes.
In addition to his specialist endocrine practice, Dr Agarwal is highly experienced in the assessment and management of acute medical conditions including pneumonia, breathlessness, urinary tract infections, cellulitis, blood clots and atrial fibrillation. Where appropriate, he can arrange direct hospital admission under his care, helping patients access prompt treatment.
Dr Agarwal is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care. He takes time to explain diagnoses and treatment options clearly, ensuring patients feel informed and confident in managing their health.
Alongside his clinical work, he is Clinical Lead for Acute Medicine at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, a Consultant Medical Appraiser, and a GMC-recognised trainer and educational supervisor. He has received multiple awards in recognition of his clinical excellence and leadership.
