About
Dr Fareed Shiva completed his medical training at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust before moving to London in 2016 to undertake specialty training in Genitourinary Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and holds a Master’s degree in Tropical Medicine and International Health, alongside Diplomas in HIV and Genitourinary Medicine and membership of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
Dr Shiva has particular expertise in sexual function and is part of the specialist Sexual Function Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, a national tertiary referral centre.
He provides comprehensive, evidence-based management for a broad range of sexual function concerns, including erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory and orgasm-related disorders, and low sexual desire.
He also has extensive specialist experience in HIV medicine, including the long-term care of people living with HIV and HIV prevention with oral and injectable PrEP.
His specialist interests also include syphilis and neurosyphilis, with published research and regular presentations at national conferences. He manages complex STI presentations and contributes to a volunteer programme providing remote HIV and sexual health advice to rural communities in Zambia.

- Sexually transmitted infections (STIs): complex or recurrent sexual health conditions.
