About

Dr Mannari is a highly experienced Consultant Haematologist with over 30 years of clinical experience, specialising in the assessment, diagnosis and management of malignant haematological disorders. He provides expert care for patients with blood cancers, including leukaemia, multiple myeloma and lymphoma, offering personalised treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

He completed his undergraduate medical training at Barts and The London Medical School, followed by higher specialist training as a Specialist Registrar across the Wessex and North London Deaneries. He was awarded a doctorate (PhD) from the Barts Cancer Institute for his research into the genomics of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), with a particular focus on AML with t(8;21), contributing to advances in the understanding of the genetic basis of blood cancers.
Dr Mannari has been a Consultant Haematologist at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, since 2010 and currently serves as Service Lead for the department, overseeing the delivery and development of haematology services.

In addition to his clinical work, he has contributed to national guidance through his role with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), both as a Guidance Committee member and as part of advisory teams supporting evidence-based clinical practice.

Dr Mannari is committed to delivering clear, compassionate, patient-centred care, ensuring that patients understand their diagnosis and are supported in making informed decisions about their treatment. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he is also Associate Lead for Senior Doctor Wellbeing within the Trust.Dr Mannari trained at Barts Medical School and completed his Post-Graduate Specialist Registrar training in Wessex and North London Deaneries. He completed a doctorate in the Genomics of AML looking at the genomics of AML with t(8;21) at Barts Cancer Institute.

Dr Mannari has been a Consultant Haematologist at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton since 2010. He is the current Service Lead for the Department. He has worked for NICE both as a Guidance Committee member and also as part of the advisory team. In addition to his interests in management of malignant haematology, he has an interest in doctor well-being and is the Associate Lead for Senior Doctor Wellbeing for the trust.
