About
Dr David Shortland has been a Consultant Paediatrician for over
30 years, working during that time locally at both Nuffield Health Bournemouth and Poole Hospital NHS Trust and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of paediatrics and
child health. During his time as a Consultant he has held a number of senior roles in national organisations that are
responsible for setting the standards and delivering high quality healthcare for
children in the United Kingdom. Dr Shortland has a Doctoral Thesis in medicine and
has been elected as a Fellow to both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal
College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
