About

Dr Rudd is a Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology based at the Hurstwood Park Centre in Haywards Heath. He specialises in diagnosing conditions affecting the brain, nerves and muscles in both adults and children.

He graduated with distinction in Medicine from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2006. After several years working in neurology at St George’s Hospital, he went on to complete specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Royal London Hospital. He also gained additional experience at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Dr Rudd has a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders and epilepsy. He uses a range of advanced tests to support diagnosis, including EEG (for brain activity), EMG (for muscles and nerves) and evoked potentials.

He is experienced in assessing patients with a wide range of symptoms, helping to provide clear diagnoses and guide treatment plans.

Special interests

Entrapment neuropathies (carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar neuropathy), myopathy, radiculopathy, and motor neurone disease.

Outside of work, Dr Rudd enjoys travel, music and computing.
