Consultant Rheumatologist, Dr Claire Gorman: Specialist in Arthritis, Autoimmune Disease and Bone Health

Dr Gorman has been a consultant rheumatologist at the Homerton Hospital for the last 15 years. She trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College and completed general medical and higher specialist rheumatology training in North London.

Her areas of specialist rheumatology interest include early inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune rheumatic diseases such as lupus. She also has a strong background in general rheumatology.

She has an excellent record of patient feedback and satisfaction; she focuses on a patient-centred approach in her clinical work, combined with excellent communication skills.

Dr Gorman comes from a strong research background, having completed a PhD at Imperial College London and served as Director of Research and Innovation at Homerton for the past 10 years. She is also passionate about training the next generation of rheumatologists and is currently Training Programme Director for Rheumatology in North East & Central London.
