About
Having trained in Liverpool, Dr Booth joined the Royal Navy as a Medical Officer in 2008. After completing a degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Barts and The London, he was posted to the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine in Birmingham, then to the Royal Marines, with whom he deployed globally.
Following his deployment, he was posted to Hampshire for his anaesthetic training, the culmination of which led to a Consultant Anaesthetist post at University Hospital Southampton. Here, he has a keen specialist interest in vascular, thoracic, and head and neck anaesthesia, and practises across a range of specialties including orthopaedics, general surgery, and emergency surgery.
Still serving in the Royal Navy, he continues his interest in global/deployed anaesthesia and perioperative care for elite athletes.
