Dr Ashwin Pinto is a Consultant Neurologist who has been part of the Southampton University Hospitals Trust since November 2003. He completed his postgraduate training in neurology at both the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford and the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton, gaining broad experience across the full spectrum of neurological disorders.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Pinto has held an academic appointment as a Postgraduate Research Fellow with the Neurosciences Group at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford University, contributing to research in neuromuscular and autoimmune neurological disease. He has also played a key role in service development, establishing a Specialist Myasthenia Clinic and a Plasma Exchange Service, enhancing regional care for patients with complex neuromuscular conditions.
