About

Dr Aruni Ranasignhe is a Consultant Dermatologist based in Suffolk and the surrounding area, with a special interest in moles and skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Aruni also treats people with lentigo maligna and sun damage and related skin lesions such as actinic keratosis and solar lentigo.

Dr Ranasinghe will see people with rashes such as psoriasis, eczema, skin allergies, acne, and rosacea, as well as benign skin lesions such as viral warts, cysts, and benign moles, to offer expert dermatology opinion and treatment in Suffolk at her private practice at St. Edmund's Hospital. Aruni can offer minor procedures such as cryotherapy, lesion removal and biopsies to help put your mind at rest.


Dr Ranasinghe can perform minor skin surgery for benign and malignant skin lesions, where possible, and can onward refer for lesions that may need a plastic surgeon. She can offer expert opinions and advice about further treatments you may need.

Aruni also offers psychodermatology, including the management of chronic skin disorders that impact the quality of life and mental health. She has a Dermatology NHS base in Suffolk at West Suffolk Hospital's Dermatology Department and is happy to offer second opinions.
